Flow, Pressure and temperature balancing valves

Hydronic balancing of heating and cooling system is necessary to achieve optimal delivery of thermal comfort into complex array of rooms within apartment block or building complex. It designed to stabilise room temperature, conserve energy and reduces operation noise (due to incorrect differential pressure).

Wrong flow rates in the various circuits lead to an increased energy consumption. On the one hand, a higher pump capacity must be provided to guarantee a sufficient supply of each appliance and on the other hand appliances being installed at a favorable hydronic position are then oversupplied. This will result in an increased room temperature or, in cooling systems, in too low a room temperature. If the average temperature in a building exceeds the nominal value by 1°C, the energy consumption is increased by 6–10 % (or 15% for a cooling system).

Wireless Thermostat Module

A range of Oventrop wireless controls includes a room thermostat and a room thermostat-clock with wireless transmitter,vwireless receivers with 1, 4 and 6 channels as well as an additional antenna for poor reception conditions.

On the one hand, the wireless controls are suitable for use in surface cooling systems and on the other hand they are part of the Oventrop “Cofloor” surface heating system.

Combined with a wireless receiver, electrothermal two point actuators and stainless steel distributors/collectors “Multidis SF”, the room thermostats with wireless transmitter serve as individual room temperature control of hot water surface heating and surface cooling systems.

As no cabling between the room thermostats and the receiver block is required, existing systems may be subsequently equipped with the radio control.

Other applications are wall heating systems and radiant ceiling panels in which the flow rates are regulated at a distributor/collector with actuators.
